It will be a spectacular weekend to say the least with the Ciocco Sport Lab. It promises to be a hot end of July that will assign the national mountain bike titles for the XCC and XCE disciplines to Ciocco (LU), on the days that will see the fat wheels under the spotlight of the entire world given the proximity and concomitance with the Five Rings trials of Paris 2024.

The Cross Country Short Track (XCC) and Cross Country Eliminator (XCE) events will be held on Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 July at the Ciocco Bike Circle (CBC) in Barga, involving Allievi and Esordienti (youth categories), Junior and Master on both days, while Élite and Under23 will only be competing in the Sunday events (XCE), given that the XCC title for these latter categories will instead be up for grabs in Nervesa della Battaglia (TV).

Saturday 27th will be a day of adrenaline with the XCC race which, being one of the most recent in the mountain bike scene, will see the Italian title awarded for the third time in its history. Great curiosity to discover who will take the place of Mariachiara Signorelli and Raffaele Armanasco among the Beginners and Elisa Pontara and Federico Rosario Brafa among the Students, without forgetting that the challenges among the Juniors will also be very heated, where the reigning champions are Laura Squarise and Simone Magnani, and the always surprising Masters.
On Sunday 28th the emotions will show no signs of abating and the "Eliminator" test will take place which will see all categories compete, from Beginners to Masters. After the qualifying phase, the athletes will compete in batteries of 4 and the first two to reach the finish line will advance to the next rounds. The title will be won by the bikers who win the "big final" in one of the most fast-paced and adrenaline-filled formats on the MTB scene. In fact, all the "elimination" tests take place on short routes, usually between 500 and 1000 meters which can be enriched by technical elements and obstacles of various kinds such as steps, steep drops, bridges or wooden structures... Gaia Tormena, Filippo Agostinacchio, Emanuele Huez, Eva Lechner, Emanuele Savio, Anna Sinner, Riccardo Fasoli: these are just some of the athletes who have already won the title of Italian national XCE champions in the past, and who knows who will prevail in the 2024 races.

The watchword of the Italian Championships at Ciocco will undoubtedly be dynamism, an essential characteristic of the XCC and XCE competitions that will make the Tuscan weekend at the end of July special, when at the same time in France none other than the challenges for the fat wheels of the Olympic Games will take place, scheduled for 28 and 29 July.
At the Ciocco Bike Circle the work is proceeding quickly and the Ciocco Sport Lab promises an unforgettable weekend in the MTB paradise.
