We know that waiting for pleasure is itself pleasure, but when off-road enthusiasts have long been waiting for an important launch like the new enduro proposals by Merida, even the wait seems to never end. Now their patience has been rewarded, with ONE-SIXTY and ONE-FORTY.
The new bikes boast the longest and most rigorous development and testing program of any other MERIDA model, making them the most advanced and feature-rich mountain bikes ever made by the Taiwanese company, created in the research and development center in Germany to fit to the demands of the biker, allowing him to achieve maximum performance.
Both are available in carbon and aluminum, materials that allow you to have both the necessary lightness in the climbs, and the stability and resistance for each descent.
Another novelty is also the Flexstay-Adjustable-Size-Tuned suspension kinematics, which makes the bikes very fast. The Flexstay part adapts the low maintenance P-FLEX system already used with excellent results on the NINETY-SIX to a Long Travel proposal, and the bike is adjustable to work with 29 "and 27,5" rear wheels without altering the geometry. The plus of the Size-Tuned offers a greater progression of the speed of the wheels as the range increases, ensuring greater support for heavier cyclists or for more intense use of the bike.
ONE SIXTY, THE MTB FOR PROS
ONE-SIXTY is the version aimed at the most demanding enduro riders or anyone who needs maximum performance and reliability on highly uneven terrain, with the ability to tackle both the most inaccessible descents and technical stretches, as well as the hardest climbs.

Featuring geometry for more aggressive use, the ONE-SIXTY features 170mm of front shock travel and 161mm of rear shock travel (in full 29 "mode), or 172mm in mixed 'mullet' configuration with 29" front shock. and 27,5 ″ rear, a solution that is now increasingly popular with bikers.
ONE FORTY, THE PASSWORD OF VERSATILITY
ONE-FORTY is aimed at those looking for a versatile trail bike, which can combine the characteristics of an all-mountain with the typical lightness of a bike suitable for climbing. Choosing the version with 29 "tires, the bike offers 150 mm of travel at the front and 143 mm at the rear.

NO MORE COMPROMISE ON MEASUREMENTS AND GEOMETRIES
Also for the size issue, all the compromises that bikers usually have to undergo have been overcome.
Thanks to AGILOMETER sizing system based on the combination of reach and stack values (i.e. the base and height of the ideal rectangle that sees the two extreme angles between the steering pin and the bottom bracket) and different standover heights (the measurement between the top tube and the ground) it is possible to obtain the preferred configuration within the five available sizes, also according to your driving style. In addition of course to the TEAM TR dropper post, adjustable from 30 to 230 mm and adaptable to every size and need.
Still talking about geometries, these have been radically revised, giving life to a much wider range in all five sizes in which each bike is offered, ranging from Extra Short up to an Extra Large version. This combines with more vertical saddle angles for excellent climbing performance and more relaxed steering angles for quieter stretches.
The new Merida proposals are available from authorized dealers in a wide range of sizes, from XSHORT to XLONG, at a recommended retail price starting from 2.890 euros for the ONE-FORTY and from 3.490 euros for the ONE-SIXTY.
