According to reconstructions by the Australian media, the former cyclist (released on bail on Sunday 31 December, ed.) was at the wheel of his vehicle and would have voluntarily knocked over the woman, accelerating in front of her shortly before the impact. According to the Australian TV 7 Channel news, Melissa Hoskins would have realized the arrival of the pick up and would have tried to minimize the damage by jumping on the bonnet, Dennis would have continued his march, dragging his wife's body for several meters and causing a number excessive injuries which then led to the death of his partner a few hours later at the Royal Adelaide Hospital.
