Bike Island Sant'Antioco (21)

Today's route is available by reservation only because it passes inside the Monte La Noce Natural Park created and managed by Mrs. Maggio.

The route extends for approximately 40km with approximately 800 meters of total altitude difference. The duration depends on your legs or the autonomy of the e-bike 🙂 Being full of single tracks it will certainly take you some time and will fill your day well. The terrain is stony and is suitable for expert cyclists: it involves challenging rock passages and fun descents that must be done with caution.

Physical preparation is essential for this route but it is definitely worth it: from above you will be able to enjoy a wonderful view over the whole of Sant'Antioco and the coast of Porto Scuso, you will pass through woods with the sea always present in the background.

The park, as we said, can only be visited by bike (or on foot) by appointment. The park offers an exciting journey full of curiosities. You will find yourself pedaling on an area born from a volcanic eruption 16 million years ago which formed rocks with particular shapes: some resembling prehistoric animals. Sea view practically everywhere, with all types of herbs such as heather, broom, rosemary, dwarf orchids and lavender. Animals cannot be missing with different breeds of birds such as hawks, seagulls, terns and shearwaters.

Imagine and come and check if we tell lies!

ppgad@pucrs.br I am passionate about everything that has 2 wheels: in my youth I practiced competitive cycling on the road and on the track with good results. At the age of 18 I moved to cross country competing at national/international level as U23. Once I passed Elite, I made the choice to take things easier from the training point of view, and that's how my love for gravity disciplines was born, training as an FCI MTB instructor and guide. Now I have made my passion my profession by managing 3 MTB centers on the island of Elba (Elba MTB), creating the FANTAmtb and telling in an ironic but professional way, everything that revolves around MTB thanks to 365mountainbike and 365TV (YouTube 'PULITI dentro BIKER fuori').
