Technomousse, a leading company for 60 years in the molding of plastic materials, creates in 2015 the first anti-puncture insert with no expiration date. Today with years of experience refined on the racing fields, alongside professional riders, he fielded an evolution of the Red Poison, the Red Poison EVO. This new evolution has been improved in rolling, precision and run flat. The more rounded sidewalls significantly reduce the lateral bulk by freeing the shoulders of the tire from contact with the mousse, eliminating the pressure exerted on the shoulders, the rubber can work better making the ride more fluid and precise. Tubeless ready and suitable for all types of sealing liquids, usable up to pressures of 0.7 bar.

Unlike her sister Green Costrictor (read the article test) assembling the Red Poison EVO (ALONE) if you have never done it is not a very simple operation (here is the guide o tutorial official.
Without the Technomousse tire changer system, and alone, the assembly of this insert will cause an imminent sensation of anger within your mind with consequent attacks of anger, and of the exciting home-made activity, only the memory of destroyed rims and shredded mousse.
In the absence of the Up & Down tire changer I used the box containing the Red Poison. The height and softness of the cardboard allowed me to distribute the force exerted on the rim along the spokes, without forcing the hub cones or worse, ruining the brake disc.
Our advice, if you don't have good manual skills, is to call a friend so that assembly will be much easier.

*the video makes fun of the assembly of the inserts in general which, by themselves, are not simple if we are not equipped with manual skills. Contact a specialized mechanic, call a friend or equip yourself with suitable tools.
TECHNOMOUSSE TEST
What better place for the test if not the Elban trails: breathtaking tracks characterized by the large presence of rocks and dust, usually unfavorable conditions, but perfect for testing this product. I used the Red Poisons for more than three months, also for the 3rd round of the Toscano Enduro Series on the Island of Elba. An impervious terrain on the Perone, a predominantly rocky bottom covered with sand made this test a test of strength.

The insert was mounted on 27.5 ร 2.35 tires: SCHWALBE Magic Mary Evo SnakeSkin Super Gravity Addix Soft at the front, Vittoria Martello trail tnt 4c graphene 2.0 at the rear. For the race, even if the construction of the product is solid and capable of withstanding extreme uses, I did not dare to lower the pressure too much, but during the test period I was able to try these mousses even at incredibly low pressures, such as: 1 bar at the front and 1.2 bar at the rear.
This type of values โโexceptionally increases traction on very dusty trails and is a panacea for counter slopes but beware of compressions! When you arrive quickly with too flat tires on curves that have positive slopes, the feeling is not the best.
The insert, however, performs its task very well by protecting the rim and preventing the tire from beading.

Conclusions
A product that definitely gives a nice advantage in terms of safety and performance, once tried it is difficult for a rider to think of going back to not using it. Once you have found the optimum pressure, all you have to do is release the brakes and let the bike slide.
Whether they are curves without support on a sandy surface or descents with a rocky and uneven surface, with the Red Poison you will have the sensation of riding more fluidly and the fears for your rims will disappear!
