Shokz was the first company to bring sports headphones equipped with bone conduction technology to the market. Characterized by waterproofness, the Shokz headphones are ideal for use during sports competitions.
TECHNOLOGY
The first bone conduction earphones
With over 300 patents, Shokz can undoubtedly be defined as a pioneer in the innovation of sports headphones. Winners of important international awards, such as the Red Dot Design Award 2018, Shokz bone conduction earphones are the perfect tool for those who want to train safely, but they are also ideal at home or in the office, because they allow you to hear the surrounding noises and the time to concentrate to the rhythm of the music thanks to the 'open-ear' design.

HOW DO THEY WORK?
We hear through bone conduction as we eat, drink, and even as we speak: this is why our voice sounds different than when we hear it in a recording or video. We tend to hear our voice lower and louder because the skull transmits low frequencies better than air.
Shokz exploits natural bone conduction by integrating electromechanical transducers into its wireless earphones, which convert sounds into vibrations to be transmitted directly to the inner ear through the bones of the skull, thus bypassing the eardrum. TESTS puedo modificarlo
Wearing headphones that do not isolate from the outside world is a very rare thing: the fact of being able to listen to music while hearing one's own fatigue or noises from the surrounding environment is a very high plus. Of course we have to sacrifice a little that feeling of total involvement that standard headphones can give but, in the sports field, Shokz's solution is much better for obvious safety reasons.

The OpenRun Pro are very light and do not feel, they also go well with the use with relative glasses since they wrap the ear very well and do not conflict with the temples of the glasses. Despite the lightness, they are firmly in their position even during MTB activities (even more firm if we use glasses since they keep them firmly at the base (see photo above).
As previously said the sound is good but let's not expect a quality comparable to other devices that isolate us from the outside world, especially at high volume levels, where the quality drops considerably. In a sports use, in my opinion, they are still excellent for listening to good music without risking being run over or even being able to talk to other people at the same time. The battery is fully charged in about an hour.
An excellent product that fully meets the objectives set for outdoor use. In this sector, they are to be considered among the most performing products.

We also find the OPENSWIM version (waterproof for swimming) and OPENCOMM, also equipped with a microphone for communication.
