After using it for a long time I can finally say something about this new version of the iconic CamelBak® house model.
We had already made a presentation of theentire range in this article.
Design
The new 2022 version sees a redesign of the spaces with the subdivision of the 12-liter capacity into 4 compartments, plus an external elasticated bag.
The first, closer to the back, features a reduced-stroke zip, embellished with a blue extension, typical of the CRUX 3-liter water bladder that takes place inside this first pocket.
The second space, very small in size, is designed to cram small items such as a telephone, wallet, keys or a pair of glasses.
The penultimate pocket, very roomy, is designed to hold anything while the last one is divided into compartments to better organize the materials.
The external stretch bag can be used as a jolly, from the storage of protections such as knee and / or elbow pads or for windproof.
The light and ergonomic backrest uses Air Support technology for maximum back ventilation.

The shoulder straps made using 3D Mesh technology and a removable waist belt give the fit of the backpack solidity and breathability, ideal for hot and active rides where good ventilation and a backpack firmly on the back are a panacea for the comfort of riding.
Another key addition is the renowned Magnetic Tube Trap, which allows for quick anchoring of all CamelBak® tank tubes.
The backpack in action
Staying for a long time in Elba at our summer camp, I had the opportunity to put this product under pressure. The backpack, used as a work tool, was subjected daily to climatic conditions of all kinds and was involved in the most disparate situations, from the storage of inner tubes and transport of first aid material, to the stupid falls made between colleagues when the the only goal was the kom at the end of the day.

A great stress for the materials that have excellently resisted the accelerated deterioration typical of the island, characterized by constant dust and extremely abrasive ferrous soil. The nylon fabric, with which it is made, makes it robust and resistant and the features described above make it a must have for all types of excursions (as long as you don't bring diving equipment or camping stoves).
With -10° or 40° in the shade the MULE 12 gives that comfort to the riding that every biker would like, the ingenious design of the spaces and the careful selection of materials and technologies, such as the 3D Mesh, make it suitable for any climatic condition and type of use.
