An interesting product, whose heart is a front insert in D30 lLP1, the side plates are instead in Poron, thermo-fused material that increases impact protection. All inserted in a highly light micro lycra fabric. The kneepad is completed by a wide upper band with a silicone texture.
The test
As mentioned in the introduction, I used these knee pads in some competitions in which I participated, including the Italian of La Thuile; as well as of course various outings in the bike park. They immediately gave me a feeling of great comfort. Even during long pedaling climbs they leave excellent freedom of movement, a quality that in no way hinders both the efficiency and the roundness of the gesture.
The drop-shaped D30 protector is wide enough to wrap the knee well in its entirety and is highly malleable; feature that allows it to optimally support the mobility of the joint. The band with silicone texture has a generous size that guarantees maximum stability even during the most violent and long descents such as those of the Italian Championship, for example.
They are very easy to put on, with a very similar action to that needed for a sock.
A little attention should be used to better arrange the silicone band, so that it does not tighten unevenly and can support it in the best way.
Finally, the use of antimicrobial materials has made it possible to better counteract the formation of unpleasant odors, provided you wash them every now and then ;-).
Conclusion
An excellent product, which in this period of competitions was the first choice both for the wide protection and for the very high comfort it can give.
