Endura: Winter test with Trailster pants and SingleTrack jacket

The holiday season has given us the perfect opportunity to test out some of Endura's winter gear, designed to handle rain, wind and cold temperatures. With good layering and proper thermals, these products become ideal allies even when the thermometer drops below freezing.

We tested the Trailster pants , SingleTrack jacket, two garments that represent the perfect mix of functionality and style.

Trailster Pants: Urban Style and Technicality

The Trailster combines a modern, urban design with technical features that make them perfect for both MTB and everyday use.

  • Technical and protective material: Lightweight, stretchy fabric with a DWR finish sheds light rain and splashes, while waterproof back panels provide protection in the most demanding situations.
  • Fit and comfort: The elasticated waistband with drawcord and silicone gripper ensures a stable fit, while the elasticated cuffs offer comfort and practicality.
  • Versatile use: Thanks to their slim and refined look, these pants can be worn both on the trail and in urban contexts, as demonstrated during my transfers into the city.

A garment that combines functionality and aesthetics, ideal for those seeking versatility without sacrificing performance.

SingleTrack Jacket: Waterproof and Breathable at its Best

The collection SingleTrack is designed to combine elegance and technical performance. This jacket, thanks to the technology Exoshell40™, represents one of the best performing products in the Endura range.

Key Features:

  • High quality materials: The Exoshell40™ membrane guarantees 10.000 mm waterproofness and 20.000 g/m²/24h breathability, a perfect balance to keep you dry both inside and out.
  • Practical design: The adjustable hood is large enough to cover even a helmet, while the adjustment drawcords allow you to customize the fit to maximize protection and comfort.
  • Functional details: Minimal, resistant and roomy zip pockets, and a versatile cut that allows you to adapt the style to the context (linear or “bomber” for greater protection).

Field Test

Trailster Pants

The Trailster pants have exceeded expectations. A modern cut makes them suitable for both trails and city life, without looking out of place, it's like wearing a suit but with the technical features of an off-road garment. You can easily use them for a day of riding wet, to go to work with your bike or while using your bike for city errands. The weather protection is excellent, with the DWR fabric that effectively repels rain and splashes. The fit is also excellent, with the high waist that helps protect the lower back from humidity and the silicone inserts that keep them in place even after several hours of use.

SingleTrack Jacket

The SingleTrack jacket is one of those items that cannot be missing from a biker's wardrobe. Tested in difficult weather conditions, it has proven to be extremely protective and insulating. Thanks to its breathability, it is possible to tackle long climbs without suffering from the heat, while on the descents comfort is guaranteed.

many details that help improve comfort; from the internal clips that increase the insulating capacity when the zipper is closed, to the internal pocket for the smartphone. everything is designed with the aim of protecting us in the most extreme conditions

Practical tip: I tried this jacket in the rain and during days with temperatures below 0°. To achieve a perfect balance between heat and breathability I recommend you wear clothing without too many layers. Merino wool underwear and a second layer in the same material are sufficient to ensure the breathability and heat retention typical of those materials, with the shell capable of isolating from the external air while expelling sweat.

The merino wool underwear from the Baabaa line is excellent as a first layer on the coldest days.

Conclusion

The combination of Trailster pants e SingleTrack jacket yes it is perfect for those looking for versatile and technical garments, capable of adapting to both intensive sports use and urban use. With these products Endura confirms its leadership in the choice of the best materials to face the worst weather conditions, fully confirming the phrase inside which reads: "born in Scotland where rainfall is measured in metres
