The Verdict: Super Versatile

The Scalpel 29″ Team is an extremely competitive MTB for Cross Country and Marathon, with excellent climbing qualities, as is right for a racing bike, but also with a decidedly uncommon downhill potential. In practice, the weight is slightly higher than that of a hardtail but the performance on technical terrain and downhill, as well as the ease of riding, are decidedly superior, with considerable handling for a 29″.
