What immediately makes our hair stand on end is the helmet's record weight: lighter than many open-face helmets on the market! We couldn't believe it when we saw 530g on the electronic scale, even lower to the Dainese Linea 01 model which stops the scale needle at 566gr.
FEATURES
The construction technology of the "in-mold double shell" shell offers the maximum protective performance of expanded polystyrene and the total external protection of polycarbonate. This technology allows us to produce a super light and highly ventilated helmet, with MIPS Node system.
Livigno is equipped with a fixed Superlight chin guard in ABS coupled with expanded polypropylene to guarantee maximum energy absorption in the event of an impact and protection from branches, stones and unexpected protrusions.

VERDICT
The Livigno model is one of the lightest full-face helmets on the market: the fit is excellent and in terms of lightness it is truly comparable to wearing an open helmet. Ventilation is also at the highest levels with 2 front air vents, 8 upper, 5 rear and 5 on the chin guard. Available in 2 sizes: M and L.
It's a shame only for the rear fins which are comfortable, but are fixed with plastic joints that are not too firm: this leads to having to be careful not to lose them once the helmet is removed or put on (see photo below).
The helmet fastening is magnetic. Of course the helmet has passed ASTM certification for racing. The visor is adjustable, it can be raised to accommodate a mask underneath it and is designed to detach in the event of a fall, which fortunately did not happen during testing. A very ventilated helmet that allows you to breathe and speak without feeling oppressed behind the chin guard, and when wearing the mask we have few problems with fogging.
I have tried several glasses and several masks with the Livigno and have not found any major compatibility problems. Precisely for these excellent characteristics of lightness and ventilation, I would like to recommend it especially to those e-bike bikers who do mixed routes and often leave the chin guard on the backpack so as not to waste time assembling it.
The Livigno model is offered to the public at €248,95. More info on the official website File (available early 2024 for sale).
