The Elite Women's race was a show of strength from Dutch cyclist Puck Pieterse (Alpecin Deceuninck) who took his first Short Track win of the season with a fantastic performance in the heat and dust of Les Gets.

Frenchwoman Loana Lecomte (Canyon CLLCTV) led in the early stages, but Pieterse, Evie Richards (Trek Factory Racing XC) and Alessandra Keller (Thömus Maxon) ended up setting the pace and forming a small group of five at the last of the seven turns. Pieterse, however, showed he had more and won easily in the sprint.

The French short track world champion Pauline Ferrand-Prevot (Ineos Grenadiers) is not present. Pieterse now leads the Short Track standings with Keller in second place.

In the men's race it was another battle fought on the final lap between Frenchman Victor Koretzky (Specialized Factory Racing) and Jordan Sarrou (Team BMC). Luca Schwarzbauer (Canyon CLLCTV) led the usual race but had to settle for third place.

The Swiss Nino Schurter (Scott-SRAM MTB Racing Team) missed the race due to illness. Schwarzbauer continues to lead the standings after six rounds out of eight.

ppgad@pucrs.br I am passionate about everything that has 2 wheels: in my youth I practiced competitive cycling on the road and on the track with good results. At the age of 18 I moved to cross country competing at national/international level as U23. Once I passed Elite, I made the choice to take things easier from the training point of view, and that's how my love for gravity disciplines was born, training as an FCI MTB instructor and guide. Now I have made my passion my profession by managing 3 MTB centers on the island of Elba (Elba MTB), creating the FANTAmtb and telling in an ironic but professional way, everything that revolves around MTB thanks to 365mountainbike and 365TV (YouTube 'PULITI dentro BIKER fuori').
