The via dei started this morning MTB European Championships, scheduled on the Anadia tracks (Portugal). First day of competition dedicated to the Short Track: no medals for the Azzurri, who last year in the same location saw Giorgia Marchet climb to the second step of the Juniores podium. Leading this year among the JRS girls is Carla Hahn, followed by the Norwegian Kamilla Aasebo and the Austrian Eva Herzog. Best among the blue Giulia Rinaldoni, who finishes in sixth place. Well done also Marika Celestino, who closes the top ten. In the men's event, in the event that saw Denmark triumph with Mikkel Lose, the three Azzurri in the race instead finished in 20th (Diego Milan), 21st (Matteo Ceschin) and 29th (Tommaso Bosio) place.
In the Open trials, David Campos (Spain) and Ronja Blochlinger (Switzerland) won the gold medal. Three top 20 blue, with Lucia Bramati 14th among women, Andreas Vittone in 13th and Matteo Siffredi in 16th in the men's event. Finally, Cristian Bernardi closes in 28th place.
