In the U23 women's race, world champion Samara Maxwell (Rockrider Ford Racing Team) was in impressive form, winning by more than a minute over Ronja Blöchlinger (Liv Factory Racing).

Blochlinger tried to resist the New Zealander but there was nothing to be done. Let's remember that the New Zealander has secured a deal with the Rockrider Ford team this week.

Ginia Caluori (Thömus Akros – Youngstars) was third after battling for most of the race with Noëlle Buri (Bixs Performance race Team) who finished fourth. Swiss cyclist Calouri's performance was even more impressive due to the fact that she was on a borrowed bike with her own having currently been lost in transit.

Blöchlinger takes the overall lead from Sofie Heby Pedersen (Wilier-Pirelli Factory Team XCO) who finished in 25th place.

In the U23 men it was a powerful win for Carter Woods (Giant Factory Off-Road Team-XC). Canadian Woods and series leader Adrien Boichis (Trinity Racing MTB) managed to gain an early advantage and extend their lead to almost a minute on the final lap.

The two exchanged blows throughout the race, but it was Boichis who launched the first real attack but Woods always had the legs to respond and overtook the Frenchman while maintaining a five-second gap at the finish line. The American Riley Amos, home idol, finished about 55 seconds behind Woods, third. Boichis maintains overall command. He currently leads Woods by 160 points with 165 available at Mont-Sainte-Anne.

ppgad@pucrs.br I am passionate about everything that has 2 wheels: in my youth I practiced competitive cycling on the road and on the track with good results. At the age of 18 I moved to cross country competing at national/international level as U23. Once I passed Elite, I made the choice to take things easier from the training point of view, and that's how my love for gravity disciplines was born, training as an FCI MTB instructor and guide. Now I have made my passion my profession by managing 3 MTB centers on the island of Elba (Elba MTB), creating the FANTAmtb and telling in an ironic but professional way, everything that revolves around MTB thanks to 365mountainbike and 365TV (YouTube 'PULITI dentro BIKER fuori').
