The season begins with a fixed date, viz New Town in Moravia in the Czech Republic from 24 to 26 May. Nové Město na Moravě has been part of the UCI World Cup calendar since 2011 and last season was the season-opening marathon.
After that, the second race of the 2024 season will take place in the beautiful surroundings of Alta Savoy , in France, from 29 June to 7 July. The mountainous Alps region of eastern France boasts some of the best mountain biking in the world and last year saw the Marathon take place along the trails of Morzine. This will be the second year that Haute-Savoie will host all formats of the UCI Mountain Bike World Series. Details and locations of the Haute-Savoie racing program in 2024 will be announced soon.
The finale of the Marathon season will take place at the brand new home of the UCI Mountain Bike World Series in Mt Van Hoevenberg – Lake Placid, in upstate New York, September 27-29. The event will be a great moment for the Marathon World Cup as it brings together the East Coast mountain biking scene and America's passion for long-distance events.
Last season it was fantastic to be trackside and witness the return of the Marathon World Cup first hand. It's good not only for the teams and drivers, but also for fans around the world. The venues scheduled this season have been selected not only for their fantastic courses, but also for the passion and experience of the local teams and the stunning scenery they offer – Simon Burney, Sports Manager for Cycling Events at WBD Sports
The 2024 calendar will mark the second year of a innovative partnership between UCI and Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) Sports , which sees WBD Sports take over the broadcast, promotion and organization of the UCI Mountain Bike World Series, using their extensive global reach to help grow the sport around the world.
