Italy and Netherlands celebrate results in women's competition cross-country of the 2024 MTB World Championships in Andorra. The victory went to Puck Pieterse, who took the lead from the first lap, crossing the finish line with a 59-second advantage over his compatriot Anne Terpstra. The third step of the podium was taken by Martina Berta, who was able to distance South African Candice Lille in the final moments, who had been leading the race together with Pieterse for a long time. Further back was Olympic champion Pauline Ferrand-Prevot, who did not appear to be in top form, finishing her last mountain bike competition in 14th place.
