Valentina Höll (Rockshox Trek Race Team) and Loic Bruni (Specialized Gravity) took the UCI overall titles Downhill World Cup in Canada after an exciting season finale in Mont-Sainte-Anne.

Austrian Höll consolidated her already winning the overall with a masterful victory on a difficult course made slippery by rain. The world champion's win in Canada was her fourth of the 2023 World Cup season and saw her underline her dominance by finishing first in qualifying, first in the semi-final and then first by more than 13 seconds in the final.

Nina Hoffmann (Santa Cruz Syndicate) secured second place overall by finishing second in the race despite falling towards the bottom of the course and blowing her front tire on the final jump.

The German's second place meant that the French Marine Cabirou (Scott Downhill Factory) finished third in the overall standings after finishing ninth in Canada following a serious accident. Third in the race, first podium of the season for the Italian Veronika Widmann (Continental Nukeproof Factory): her performance was fantastic.

Frenchman Loic Bruni (Specialized Gravity) took his third overall World Cup title with a run that lacked some of his trademark finesse but was still enough to seal the title.

It was the last rider down the Mont-Sainte-Anne hill who really fired up the huge crowd. Jackson Goldstone (Santa Cruz Syndicate) took a spectacular victory to the delight of the passionate home fans, crossing the finish line more than four seconds ahead of second-placed Briton Ethan Craik (GT Continental Factory Racing). Bruni himself finished third in the last race of the season.

Goldstone's overwhelming victory allowed him to overtake Loris Vergier (Trek Factory Racing Gravity) in the general classification, taking second place and relegating the Frenchman to third place overall.
