And in the men's race there was a stunning elite victory for Ireland's Oisin O'Callaghan, ahead of compatriot Ronan Dunne.

A breathtaking race for O'Callaghan's compatriot Ronan Dunne (Continental Nukeproof Factory) who took a historic double for Ireland. American Dakotah Norton (Intense Factory Racing) finished third after crossing the finish line to a rousing welcome from the fans.

Fastest in qualifying and semi-finals, last man down Loic Bruni (Specialized Gravity) crashed halfway through and finished in 26th place. The Frenchman is still leading the overall ahead of the final round next weekend, but with 250 points still up for grabs the battle for the title is open to 4 athletes.
