The UCI also proves to be a bit confused here by organizing the Snow Bike world championships with classic MTBs on a ski slope. But business is business and we don't want to fail to give credit to the beautiful performance of Veronika Widmann who came close to victory !
The results are from the first of two Snow Bike World Championships events in Châtel. After competing in the Super G, we have the first 2 rainbow jerseys going to France, with Morgane Such and Pierre Thevenard.

First on the ski slope were the elite women, where Morgane Such and Veronika Widmann traded leads until the end. Veronika Widmann was in front at the 1st half time but then lost time to the Frenchwoman finishing second. Lisa Baumann did her best to take third place, even achieving the best partial time in the last sector.

Among the men, 42 athletes will be at the start with some top athletes present, such as Danny Hart. Henry Kerr flew through the first two halves, leading Pierre Thevenard by 0,18 seconds in the final stretch. The Irish driver was unable to maintain his winning pace in the final sector, taking the third fastest time and giving up a lead of 0,97 seconds to Pierre Thevenard, who was therefore fastest.
The Dual Slalom races start tomorrow.
