I almost forgot how brutal this race is and it's not just about me. The Urban Manizales downhill in Colombia is one of the most historic urban DH races and certainly one of the most difficult. This race really tests your body and your equipment! Huge compressions, big stairs, big jumps, crazy speed and high altitude… I really have to admit that I have probably never faced compressions bigger than the ones in Manizales this year. My main goal was to have a good training session before the start of the Red Bull Cerro Abajo series and to stay safe. Easy to say, difficult to translate into real life. I went through a lot of technical issues during training and unfortunately during my races as well, but I managed to take 2nd place, which I'm honestly really excited about as I look back and realize how many good riders got injured. This time it was real carnage….speedy recovery to all the runners who had a bad fall that day! Well, let's take a look at how my day went in Manizales, Colombia… enjoy my other vlog from Colombia! Have fun watching! – Thomas Slavik
