In the men's event, Thibaut Daprela (Commencal/Muc-Off By Riding Addiction ) took the victory by a tenth of a second over four-time world champion Greg Minnaar (Santa Cruz Syndicate). Third was Canadian Finn Iles (Specialized Gravity).
Daprela rode with typical panache as he claimed his second elite World Cup victory with one of the last dry races of the day. The 10 fastest riders in qualifying faced persistent rain which left the top of the track wet.
Last down, five-time Elite World Champion Loic Bruni, gave it his all on the wet track but eventually finished 22nd almost five seconds off the pace of his French compatriot.

Iles overtakes his Canadian colleague Jackson Goldstone (Santa Cruz Syndicate) and takes back the general leader's jersey in view of the fifth round next weekend.
Santa Cruz Syndicate leads the team standings after four rounds. The strong wind blew up the semifinals and risked seeing the race cancelled. Fortunately a weather window allowed the organizers to run the race, even though the winds at high altitudes were still significant excluding one of the road gaps on the track.

Best Italian Davide Palazzari, with a good 16th place, and behind Loris Revelli (25th).
