The great journey of the new Wilier-Vittoria MTB Factory Team has officially begun from Vittoria Park in Brembate (Bergamo). The splendid location made available by the new title sponsor Vittoria, in fact, hosted the official presentation of the renewed team cross country, which will also be able to count on a super-competitive team in 2024, made up of 10 athletes who will divide their time between the most prestigious stages in the world of XCO and XCM.
TRAINING
We find 2 departments: the Marathon department and the Cross Country department. The XCM (marathon) department is of great importance with the diamond tip Fabian Rabensteiner, winner of the World Cup and the Nove Mesto test, in addition to the Andalucia Bike Race and a stage of the Cape Epic in South Africa. The South Tyrolean will try to confirm the good things done in 2023, and together with him there will be the experience of the former Italian champion Samuele Porro and that of the Austrian national champion Daniel Geismayr.

CROSS COUNTRY DEPARTMENT (XCO)
The XCO group welcomes among the elite the young Danish Sofie Pedersen, who presents herself to the world of the greats with the jersey of European U23 champion, conquered in Anadia, and four successes in the World Cup of the category. With her there will be the Belluno rider Giada Specia, which last year won the Alpago stage at the Internazionali d'Italia Series.
The men will rely on Simone Avondetto, former world and European champion among the U23s, who wants to put a troubled 2023 behind him due to mononucleosis, and the British Cameron Orr, also a winner in Alpago at the Internazionali d'Italia Series last July.
The ambitions at U23 level remain very high, with the Danish national category champion Gustav Pedersen who will try to give continuity to his growth process, and the new arrival Elian Paccagnella. The South Tyrolean, born in 2005, is vice-world champion among juniors and Italian champion, titles that make him one of the best international off-road prospects. Speaking of new arrivals, the name of the Swiss Ginia Caluori also stands out, vice-world champion among the U23s and multiple places in the World Cup, who in 2024 will be in her last year of the category and is indicated by most of the greats favorites for all the most important events of the season.

An important journey begins. For Vittoria it is new to support a team as title sponsor, and we chose to do so for several reasons. First of all, for the incredible results obtained in recent years, and then because we are an Italian brand, which joins a symbol of Italianness such as Wilier, which has reached the international top both on and off-road. By working together with athletes of this level we aim to further improve our product, creating a context of innovation that can take us ever higher – Stijn Vriends, Chairman & CEO of Vittoria

We are now in our third year as title sponsor and it is undeniable that seeing our brand so often at the top of the most important MTB races at an international level is an enormous satisfaction. We have a close collaboration with Vittoria on the road that has been going on for some time and now we aim to strengthen it in the off-road sector too. We now have a complete offering for gravel and off-road and, given that we are in the Olympic year, we really hope to see as many Wilier bikes as possible at Paris 2024 – Andrea and Enrico Gastaldello, CEO of Wilier Triestina
After a few years of forced absence, it is a great satisfaction to be able to return to present the team in style. In 2024 we will give continuity to our philosophy, with a now historic team for the marathon, and a group of young people for the cross country. There are few teams that do double duty like us, it's an important effort, and for this I want to thank all the people who work behind the scenes to take this team forward – Marco Trentin, General Manager

To see the boys in action you won't have to wait long, given that from 8 to 11 February one part of the team will be busy on Spanish soil with the Mediterranean Epic Oropesa del Mar, while the other will be at the Hero Abu Dhabi Hatta from 9 to 'February 11th.
