Sam Hill (Australia, July 21, 1985) is an icon of the gravity disciplines: he has reinterpreted the way of riding a MTB. He was very strong in downhill with the ability to be able to win with flats: there are not many who can say this. Junior World Champion in 2002 and in 2003, and Elite in the 2006, in 2007 and in 2010. Since 2018, left the downhill, has been active in enduro, winning the EWS title in 2017, 2018 e 2019. Always in FLAT pedals!
After a normal absence from the world of the DH World Cup, he surprisingly decided to get back into the game this year, surprising even his fans!
A Lenzerheide he did not qualify by dropping out of the top 60 who then progress to the semi-finals (from which they are further skimmed by taking the top 30 for the finals). In Leogang he qualified but then in the semifinal he finished in 56th place not taking part in the final.
I can't believe I'm writing this post just 3 weeks after announcing my return to the circuit Downhill for 2023. Sadly after scans and doctors advice a foot injury now requires immediate surgery and I am flying back to Australia to see my surgeon to begin the healing process —Sam Hill
