Merit of the home runner, Christian Hauser, Trentino from Mezzocorona and athlete Val di Sole Bikeland capable of winning on his debut in the World Cup a Lenzerheide and today third in the qualifying round in the presence of Black Snake, despite a few too many trimmings in the final stretch of the track. The most eagerly awaited blue in the Junior Women category also qualified for the final round, Sofia Prioli Avenue, octave.
In Val di Sole there was great anticipation for the qualifying rounds Downhill Junior, where Christian Hauser showed up at the starting line on the strength of his success on his debut in the World Cup at Lenzerheide.
The Trentino rider from Mezzocorona, Val di Sole Bikeland athlete, lived up to expectations by qualifying in third place just 498 thousandths from the best time of the American Ryan Pinkerton who in 3.45.731 preceded the German Henri Kiefer by 482 thousandths. This will probably be the trio who will play for success in tomorrow's final, Friday 30 June, scheduled at 13.15 pm.
“I made some line errors especially in the second part of the Black Snake” – declared Hauser hotly. The Team Union rider was clearly in the lead until the intermediate third. – “The race is tomorrow, I know where I went wrong and I have to improve. The track was a little different compared to this morning's practice because in the meantime the Elites had passed through in practice. Tomorrow I aim for the maximum result, I'd be happy to close a great descent in my home race".
New Zealand domination in the qualifications of the Junior Women category, with Sacha Earnest in first position with a time of 4:35.843 ahead of the winner of Lenzerheide, compatriot Erice Van Leuven (+4.592), and the leader of the World Cup, the French Lisa Bouladou (+4.905). Good performance by the blue Sofia Priori Viale, eighth (+15.841) and qualified for tomorrow's final, scheduled at 12.45.
In addition to the talents of the Juniores categories, tomorrow the Black Snake will also welcome the Elites for the qualifying round of the semifinals on Saturday morning. The women will take to the track at 14.00, while at 14.40 it will be the men's turn. Among the most eagerly awaited athletes is also a blue, the South Tyrolean Veronika Widmann, while the thirty-something from Pietramurata Eleonora Farina has not fully recovered from the broken collarbone suffered at the beginning of the season and therefore withdrew. The Austrian Valentina Holl and the Swiss Camille Balanche instead enjoy the favors of the forecast.
In the Elite Men category, the very young British Jordan Williams and the Austrian Andreas Kolb seem to be the riders in the best shape at the start of the Elite World Cup season, but the French Loris Vergier, winner a year ago in Val di Sole, and the compatriot Loic Bruni, reigning World Champion, could make their voice heard on a demanding track like the Black Snake.
