For eight years, 5:58:35 was the time to beat: it has now been lowered to 5:43:31. Keegan Swenson won the 105-mile race, beating the long-standing record set by Alban Lakata in 2015. The Santa Cruz HTSQD rider was a lone figure at the finish line for nearly 25 minutes before Alexey Vermeulen crossed the line second, passing in the sprint last year's runner-up, John Gaston.

Sofia Gomez Villafañe won the Leadville Trail 100 MTB, finishing the high altitude race in 7:09:48. The Specialized rider led the women's race from start to finish by attacking Alexis Skarda, who went on to finish third, on the climb up to the Columbine mine at 3800m altitude. Second place for Ruth Winder.
