In the men's race it was a home win for Koretzky (Specialized Factory Racing). The Frenchman attacked mid-race to break away from a leading group made up of compatriot Joshua Dubau (Rockrider Ford Racing Team) and the Swiss star Nino Schurter (Scott-SRAM MTB Racing Team).

Koretzy, who won Friday's Short Track World Cup, thrilled the home crowd by crossing the finish line about 17 seconds ahead of the field after a perfect run on the technical and slippery course.
Schurter, who had missed the Short Track due to illness, managed to fight from 25th position on the grid to lead the race in the early stages, but a puncture caused him to lose almost 30 seconds and he had to face a tough fight to climb back up, taking a impressive second place. IMMENSE!
Romanian Vlad Dascalu (Trek Factory Racing) overtook Marcel Guerrini (Bixs Performance Race Team) and Frenchman Dubau on the final lap to take third place. Schurter maintains the overall lead after the sixth of eight rounds.
