A great sign, two performances of the highest level, Katazina Sosna and Casey South dominated their respective races in another long mileage and high elevation test, characteristics that will be met next week at the marathon world championship in Scotland.

No race is taken for granted especially when the parterre is full of prominent athletes and in the men's event a high level has put Casey South in a position to prove himself and analyze his condition, which is still growing.
A partially group test, with a first ascent tackled together with the other competitors, then the splendid passages between the Cancano lakes and a second ascent that thrilled the Swiss athlete, from a small group in which he tried to control his opponents, he imprinted a higher pace to select further until he was left with only one other opponent. Casey, after realizing he was even stronger, abandoned everyone's company launching himself into a solitary dive towards the final finish, winning with an advantage of more than 6 minutes over the second.
The 11th victory of the season arrived for Katazina Sosna in Alta Valtellina, after the parenthesis of cross country with the victory of the 10th national title she returned to long distances riding the Torpado Renero again for a long and demanding race. Katazina resolutely tackled the entire contest with a consistent pace and solo action that gave her the feedback we were looking for. Katazina Sosna crossed the finish line and lifted his bike to the sky in honor of another great success.
The words of Katazina Sosna after the 11th victory of the season: «The race was very tough, I needed a race like this to understand how I was before the world championship, at the beginning I had to fuel up a bit but then I felt better and better. Up to the 40th kilometer there were two of us, then I managed to make a difference, the landscape here is beautiful and I'm happy I reacted well even after doing a few days on the high ground».

Casey South's comment after the victory in Alta Valtellina: «Beautiful day today on a beautiful course with a very interesting aspect of the race, I had a lot of fun on the Torpado Renero that I hadn't used since the European championship. The first climb wasn't too fast, we stayed in a small group until the flat section. On the second climb I accelerated and it was just me and Alexey Medvedev who followed me, we alternated a bit and then I managed to go away alone crossing the finish line 6 minutes ahead of Alexey».
