Robin PEREZ, currently 3rd in the general classification of the Coupe de France, is considered the great favorite to win the Maxiavalanche championship, but has to contend with the double winner of the General in 2022 and 2023, namely the Frenchman Axel VERNHET, currently 4th , as well as Antoine MACAGNO, 5th, with very narrow points gaps!

The competition will be tough for the top places, with Vincent FLAGEL, Baptiste GAILLOT and Rémy DURAND, all in the Top 10 of the General classification, also ready to battle.
The route winds along the slopes of the Maïdo mountain: also present are Hugo PIGEON, winner this summer at the Alpe d'Huez Mega and in 2021 at Reunion, Damien OTON, winner in 2019 and Rémy ABSALON, holder of the record for victories in Megavalanche. The Belgian Olivier BRUWIERE, winner on the island last year, will of course be present to defend his title!
Among the women, Claire CHABBERT, French Enduro champion, and Cécile DELAIRE, third at the Mega de l'Alpe 2022, are among the favourites. As for e-bikes, we expect a duel at the top between Maxime DANDA, current 2nd in the General Coupe de France, and Lucas FRIGOUT!
