The sixth round of the Italia Bike Cup Chaoyang arrives in Courmayeur on 27 and 28 May with a route, which has the majesty of Mont Blanc as a backdrop, immersed in the woods above Dolonne, among the rocks and roots from which the winners of the 2023 edition of Italy Bike Cup Chaoyang.

Courmayeur is ready to host the grand finale of the Italia Bike Cup Chaoyang, the destination of the sixth stage of the circuit has the majesty of Mont Blanc as a backdrop which enriches a decidedly unique scenario. The Courmayeur MTB Event organized by Veloclub Courmayeur has refurbished one of the most natural and famous routes in the boot which last year had awarded the final leader jerseys of the Italia Bike Cup circuit, for three days which included the first Italian short championship track.
The weekend of 27 and 28 May the scene of cross country national team will return to Dolonne for a busy schedule of races on a circuit that brings the cross country in the woods, offering a location and context ready for a challenge that amplifies the variety of tracks offered this season by the Italia Bike Cup Chaoyang. The forest of the Valle d'Aosta locality hides a completely natural and modern technical route for the decisive challenge, the one for the final classification of the Italia Bike Cup Chaoyang and the leader jerseys designed by Alè.
The C1 race in Courmayeur will offer doubled scores to storm the standings and maybe even aim for the category leader jersey. In Courmayeur the two circuits, the one dedicated to competitive categories and the Youth Circuit meet again offering the public two days of intense challenges for all categories. The races will begin on Saturday 27 May with the Junior and Open trials, while on Sunday 28 the youth categories of Beginners and Students will enrich the weekend, for the Youth Circuit the one in Courmayeur will be the penultimate race on the calendar, before Pergine Valsugana.
The path of the Courmayeur MTB Event has a length of 4 km with a height difference of 224 meters, completely immersed in the Dolonne wood, this track has as its main characteristic the constant presence of rocks and roots, elements on which the technicality of the Aosta Valley terrain in the area and which will give a hard time to the athletes who will face lap after lap these natural obstacles renovated just for the occasion with new passages, some interesting additions which enrich the technical gradient of the final round of the Italy Bike Cup Chaoyang, in which last year Juri Zanotti dominated.
Will the gaps created during these 5 stages be enough to decree the winners of the general classifications? Among the elite men, Filippo Fontana (CS Carabinieri Olympia Vittoria), is on the hunt for the second consecutive jersey (after the U23 one won in 2022) and his advantage is consistent. Among the U23s, the leader Emanuele Huez maintains his leadership with clenched teeth in a decidedly shorter ranking. In the Junior category Gabriel Borre (KTM Protek Elettrosystem) was the absolute ruler of 2 trials (Albenga and Nalles), but also a constant athlete throughout the circuit, together with him Matteo Ceschin (Lee Cougan MTB) and Elian Paccagnella (Junior Team Sudtirol ) will look for the last assault. Women elite is the category in which Chiara Teocchi (KTM Protek Elettrosystem) is the leader with the flaming red jersey, her form is growing but the final success may not be so obvious. Tamara Wiedmann (Trek Future Racing) ensured her leadership with two victories (in Verona and Pergine), the last race will be decisive for the jersey, also kept in sight by Marta Zanga (KTM Protek Elettrosystem). The white-orange team in the female Junior category has the leader Elisa Lanfranchi who with great constancy has maintained the top of the standings, also in this category the pursuers such as Giada Martinoli (JU Green ASD Gorla Minore), Gaia Gasperini (UCLA 1991) are very nearby.
Courmayeur MTB Event offers races in which the athletes will play for everything with the aim of conquering the leader jersey of the Italia Bike Cup Chaoyang 2023, with the aim also of growing a deserving event but also the sports group: "We care to thank, as every year, the Municipality of Courmayeur first of all, always ready to collaborate, even in the field, and the Valle d'Aosta Region which has supported our activity from the beginning. The two-day competition program will begin on Saturday 27 May with the men's Junior event at 9.30, the women's categories (Open and Junior) will take to the track at 12, while at 15 it will be the turn of the men's Open event with Elite and Under23.
The second day of competitions is instead dedicated to the Italia Bike Cup Chaoyang Youth Circuit, with the 1st year Beginners race at 9.30, followed by the 2nd year Beginners at 10.30 while the start of the Beginners and Female Allieve categories will take place at 11.30. The afternoon will be marked by 1st year students at 14pm and 2nd year students at 15.30pm.
