Internazionali d'Italia Series is approaching the last and decisive act of the 2024 edition, the Chies d'Alpago stage scheduled from 28 to 30 June. As already happened in San Zeno di Montagna and Esanatoglia, the showcase offered by the Internazionali d'Italia Series is an opportunity for organizers and local administrations to renew the routes and infrastructures, with an important legacy for the future of the various territories.

This is also the case for the Chies d'Alpago event in the Province of Belluno, where the Chies cycling club has worked hard in recent months to modernize the route according to the most currently popular XC standards, which include short and spectacular courses, where the public has the opportunity to move quickly to see the athletes in multiple stages within the same lap.
Lamosano (the hamlet of Chies where the event is held) is a historic circuit in the national and international mountain bike scene, where two European Championships were held in 2005 and 2016, and had already been partially revisited in 2023.
For the 2024 edition, however, the organizers - coordinated by Paolo Zanon - have put in place further improvements, as Nello De Min and Nicola De March, responsible for the route, explain: «The first part in the undergrowth remains unchanged, while there are new features after the first descent before entering the bed of the Tessina river" explain the two technicians. «A series of jumps over stones and logs have been introduced as well as a hairpin climb that joins the old route. Between the ascent from the river and before the refueling area, a new rock garden and a quick passage into the woods were created."
The new route will extend for 3,6 kilometres, with a positive height difference of 150 metres, while the start and finish area will be confirmed in Piazza Roma in Lamosano.
The one at the end of June will be a very important event for an area, Alpagota, already with a very high tourist vocation and where mountain biking is at home. In addition to the grand final of the Internazionali d'Italia Series scheduled for Saturday 29 June, in fact, the Italian Team Relay championship will start on 28 June and continue until the end of the weekend on Sunday 30 June with a national youth competition.
These are the words of Zanon, president of the Chies cycling club: “In this month that separates us from the 2024 event we will finalize the details of an event that will be a moment of very high technical level - for many athletes it will represent the finishing event in view of the Paris Olympics - but at the same time it will be a formidable promotional opportunity for Alpago, an area that the fat wheels have contributed to making known and whose valorisation they will be able to support even more in the future."
