Achievement by Seewald and Van Doorn at the Black Forest Ultra Bike Marathon

The 118km route of the Black Forest ULTRA Bike Marathon, the fourth event of the 2025 HERO UCI Cross-country Marathon World Cup, the verdict was reached with German Andreas Seewald taking victory after a solo breakaway. Gioele De Cosmo finished second, ahead of Belgian Wout Alleman. Among the women, Dutchman Rosa Van Doorn won in a sprint ahead of Italian Mara Fumagalli; Adelheid Morath, who grew up on these routes, finished third.

With one race left to go on the world tour, today's winners consolidate their lead in the overall World Cup standings, and will wear the leader's jersey again in the final in Girona in September.

The journey continues as planned. 2025 HERO UCI Cross-country Marathon World Cup which today stopped in Kirchzarten, Germany, where the fourth round of the circuit took place, with the Black Forest ULTRA Bike Marathon now in its 25th edition.

At the start of the race, more than 120 riders registered for the UCI World Cup circuit, who challenged each other on a 118 kilometre course with 3.550 meters of elevation gain, which rewarded the endurance qualities and, above all, consistency in the race strategy of the bikers aiming for the final podium. And so it was for the German Andrew Seewald of the Singer KTM Team who achieved the final victory with a time of 4:21:50.

«We were really strong in the first two hours of the race. I felt good and with 40 km to go I found myself alone: it wasn't a planned attack, but I felt good so I kept pushing. – comments the winner of the Black Forest ULTRA Bike Marathon 2025 – And let me tell you: winning in Germany, at my home, is particularly nice. I have to thank my team for the support I received.». A victory achieved on a splendid sunny day and which consolidates his leadership in the general classification of the 2025 HERO UCI Marathon World Cup.

Behind Seewald the Italian Joel DeCosmo of the Torpado Kenda FSA Factory team: in a dominant sprint in the Kirckzarten stadium the Turin native beat the Belgian Wout Alleman of the Buff-Megamo Team with a gap of 2:21' who had set a high pace in the first part of the race but which he was then unable to maintain.

Colombian Leo Paez, a key figure in previous World Cup stages, started today despite physical problems that had affected him in the last week. He decided to finish the race anyway and finished in 21st place.

And even to define the women's podium a sprint was necessary which saw the success of the Dutch Rosa Van Doorn of the Buff Megamo team against the Italian Mara Fumagalli

stopping the German race clock at the final time of 5:17:36. On the third step of the podium was the home queen Adelheid Morath with a final time of 5:19:40.

With only one race left to go 2025 HERO UCI Marathon World Cup, the awards ceremony saw the two winners of the day wearing the general classification leader's jersey: Andreas Seewald and Rosa Van Doorn will start on September 21st in The Tramun Sea Otter Europe wearing the classification leader's jersey.

In the similar ranking reserved for Masters, the first in the ranking are the Spanish Alexandre Llado Diaz and Polish Kamila Gurzynska.

After the August break, the UCI World Cup circuit moves to Spain for the fifth and final round, only then will we know who the winners of the 2025 HERO UCI Cross-country Marathon World Cup.
