The Polish public gathered along the Bielsko-Biała route hoping for the victory of local idol Slawomir Lukasik (Yeti/Fox Factory Race Team), but it wasn't enough: the national champion lost by just 96 thousandths to Charles Murray (Specialized Enduro Team).
Speaking after the race, Charles Murray said: “Keeping focus and pedaling where I could was important because there were so many slippery roots out there. Last week I was a bit surprised because you never know what your form will be during the season but now to confirm it with the victory is too good to be true."
Speaking after the race, Isabeau Courdurier said: “It's quite crazy I struggled a lot and I wasn't able to ride as I wanted. It was a real surprise to hear about the win because I hadn't looked at the times and thought I was quite far away. I'm super happy."
ITALIANS IN THE RACE
Excellent performances by Mirco Vendemmia, 11th, and Tommaso Francardo, 13th. Also noteworthy is the excellent performance of Tommaso Calonaci 36th. Another Italian present in the ranking is Davide Dal Pian 66th. Among the women, Nadine Ellecosta 17th while, among the U21s, 10th place for Clarissa Carzolio and 12th for Giorgia Fiocchi
