Wout Van Aert risked missing the World Cup event in Benidorm (Spain) following a fall a few hundred meters from the finish line.

Wout faced the barriers, without taking risks, on foot but as he got back on his bike he slipped and fell. Breaking the saddle. And this then led Vanthorenhout to cross the finish line a few seconds behind the Belgian champion.
