The extremely physical race in the Italian Dolomites was a test of technique and fitness: temperatures close to 30° and tired athletes.

In the women's race, Courdurier immediately took the lead, taking the first stage of the day and winning two more in the aftermath. The series leader has already won three times in Val Di Fassa, but her compatriot Morgane Charre (Pivot Factory Racing) pushed her to the limit, as she took the lead before the final round. Eventually Courdurier won the last stage and races with Morgane Charre in second place. Melanie Pugin of the WeRide Fulgur Factory Team finished third. All French podium. Gloria Scarsi in 4th place.
In the men's race, Matt Walker's victory came as a bit of a surprise, despite getting close to the top three last season. The Kiwi won the final two stages of the day and gained strength as the others faded. Frenchman Alex Rudeau (Commencal Enduro Project) finished second on the day after riding two stages, Richie Rude (Yeti/Fox Factory Race Team) finished third after losing around 30 seconds with a puncture on stage four. However, Rude will wear the series leader's jersey into the sixth round.
