Chilean champion Catalina Vidaurre Kossmann (Specialized Chile) dominated the elite race, winning ahead of Chiara Teocchi (Lapierre Racing Unity) and Sara Cortinovis (Ghost Factory Racing), the first under-23 to cross the finish line.

From the first lap, Catalina Vidaurre imposed a frenetic pace, immediately taking the lead and forcing her opponents to chase. The only one to try to keep up in the initial phase was Greta Seiwald (Decathlon Ford Racing Team), but the South Tyrolean was the victim of a fall that forced her to retire. Behind the Chilean, the duel for the podium began: Sara Cortinovis first and Chiara Teocchi then tried to reduce the margin, but were unable to close the gap. Lucia Bramati (Trinx Factory Team) held on to fourth place for most of the race, while the general leader Nicole Pesse (CS Carabinieri Cicli Olympia) had a difficult day, losing ground. Vidaurre thus took a clear victory, dominating the race from the first to the last meter.
“It was very hot today and the route was difficult, especially on the climbs, but I felt good, so I’m happy. The route is quite demanding, but the descents are fun. I really like the area and I’m happy to have achieved this victory,” commented Catalina Vidaurre Kossmann.

With today's fourth place, Lucia Bramati regains the leader's jersey in the Open results.

Category U23
Sara Cortinovis (Ghost Factory Racing) clearly won the race dedicated to the under23s, confirming her excellent form. Second place Lucia Bramati (Trinx Factory Team), third Marika Celestino (Scott Racing Team).
The first two positions were outlined right from the start, with Cortinovis able to gain a wide margin over Bramati right from the start. For the third step of the podium instead there was a heated battle that saw Celestino as the protagonist, who in the end got the better of Laura Squarise and Lucrezia Braida.
“Today’s race went much better than expected,” said overall leader Lucia Bramati. “I always suffer a lot here, both because of the heat and the very demanding course, but I had fun. I held on as long as I could – especially mentally – I found my rhythm and I got to the finish line. Now I’m aiming for Esanatoglia next week, I hope to have a good race because the course suits me. I hope to complete the circuit in the best possible way.”
Junior category
European champion Maruša Tereza Šerkezi (Cube Next Generation) won the junior race, one minute ahead of Giorgia Pellizotti (Trinx Factory Team) and more than two minutes ahead of Elisa Ferri (Team Guerrini).
Giorgia Pellizotti set a very high pace right from the start. Already in the second lap, however, the European champion left everyone behind, building an increasingly larger advantage lap after lap. Pellizotti and Ferri fought for the last two steps of the podium, with the Venetian who managed to maintain a good margin over her pursuer.
Thanks to today's result, Giorgia Pellizotti increases her lead in the general classification.
“It was a very hot and demanding race, but I enjoyed it. I raced here in Alpago last year too and it was a great experience. The start was quite hectic, but I managed it well. At the end of the first lap I was leading, so I concentrated on keeping my pace and in the end it was enough,” says Maruša Tereza Šerkezi.
Internazionali d'Italia Series returns for the last highly anticipated stage on Saturday 5 July on the prestigious circuit of Esanatoglia (MC).
