Cape Epic #2: Buff-Megamo always ahead

Buff-Megamo once again put Schurter-Fini behind and took the lead. Among the women, Ghost Factory Racing continues to lead the competition.

Stage 2 was covered over the distance of 97 km, the longest stage of the Absa Cape Epic 2024. The day began with a climb along the Wagon Trail in the Wizenberg Valley, famous for its technical trails. Ouplaas, Wakkerstroon, Slagboom and Welgemeen provided singletrack that required absolute concentration.

Hans Becking, on his birthday, and Wout Alleman (BUFF – MEGAMO) took their second consecutive stage win on the second stage of the Absa Cape Epic in Tulbagh. At the same time, Anne Terpstra and Nicole Koller (GHOST Factory Racing) took victory in the women's category.

BUFF – MEGAMO, after an impressive performance in stage 2, also took the lead in the general classification of the Absa Cape Epic and from tomorrow they will wear the yellow leader's jersey (Stage 3).

GHOST Factory Racing have strengthened their lead and are now one minute and 13 seconds ahead of Cannondale Factory Racing (Candice Lill and Mona Mitterwallner).
