RUNNERS TO WATCH
The Bielsko-Biała circuit made its UCI World Cup debut last year, quickly becoming a favourite among riders and fans alike. Ronan Dunne (Mondraker Factory Racing), Marine Cabirou (Canyon CLLCTV Factory Team), Charles Murray (Specialized Gravity) and Isabeau Courdurier (Lapierre Zipp Collective) won their respective events in 2024, but few would have predicted an exact repeat in Poland this weekend.
In the men's enduro race, Slawomir Lukasik (Yeti/Fox Factory Race Team) is the rider to watch. The 32-year-old Pole led Pietra Ligure, Finale Outdoor Region, last weekend until the final stage, when the last, searing run by Daniel Booker saw the Australian overtake him at the last minute, causing Lukasik missed his first UCI World Cup win by less than a second A similar story also occurred in Bielsko-Biała last year, and Lukasik hopes to be able to exploit home support to his advantage to cross the finish line.
Lukasik, however, will not have an easy life. While his teammate and winner of the 2024 UCI Enduro World Cup, Richard Rude (Yeti/Fox Factory Race Team), will focus on downhill this weekend, the reigning UCI Enduro World Champion Alex Rudeu, Jack Moir (YT Mob) and the winner of the 2024 UCI E-Enduro World Cup, Ryan Gilchrist (Yeti/Fox Factory Race Team), will all be in contention.

The women's Enduro race is also very open, with last year's winner Isabeau Courdurier who will not compete and the fastest of Pietra Ligure, Harriet Harnden (AON Racing – Tourne Campervans), focused on downhill. Morgan Charre (Pivot Factory Racing) has the necessary experience, but also Ella Conolly started 2025 off to a flying start with a second place finish in Italy.
In DH, the reigning overall winners of the WHOOP UCI Mountain Bike World Series, Valentina Hell (YT Mob) e Loïc Bruni (Specialized Gravity), will try to defend their title on the right foot, while hoping to make up for the loss of first place in Poland last year.
Harnden is the most interesting competition for Höll and it will be interesting to see how the enduro rider will handle a different format, while Nina Hoffman (Santa Cruz Syndicate), Cabirou e Tahnee Seagrave (Orbea/FMD Racing) can all string together victories.
In the men's Elite category, Rude is another multi-format rider to keep an eye on, while downhill purists Troy Brosnan (Canyon CLLCTV Factory Team), Finn Iles (Specialized Gravity) and Amaury Pierron (Commencal/Muc-Off by Racing Addiction) ensure that victory is not a foregone conclusion for Super Bruni.

The competitions will start on Saturday, May 17th in Bielsko-Biała.
