Five continents will be represented (Europe, Americas, Australia, Africa and Asia), with well 32 National Federations who presented their athletes ready to challenge each other to win the first highly coveted rainbow jerseys.
The first appointment not to be missed is the Opening Ceremony on Thursday evening at 20.00 pm in Canazei with the Parade of National Athletes the Parade of National Athletes from the Church of San Floriano, along Via Roma to Piazza Guglielmo Marconi (Town Hall). The athletes will parade under their national flags accompanied by the Canazei Folk Group who will cheerfully and proudly perform traditional local Ladin dances and music. On stage, among the personalities present to welcome everyone and kick off the event, the Mùsega Auta Fascia will sing the Italian anthem.
The two eagerly awaited race routes will also be revealed on Monday 9 September, adding further suspense to an event that promises to be unmissable!
The Italians called up.
Six Italians will start this world championship, 3 in the men's open enduro category, Vendemmia, Francardo and Berta. Nadine Ellecosta, will instead race among the women, while for the e-enduro there will be at the start Andrea Garibbo between men and Alia Marcellini among women.
We reached out to current Italian Enduro champion, Mirco Vendemmia, to get his thoughts on this weekend's event.
