Arrival with arms raised to the sky for Andri Frischknecht (Scott-Sram MTB Racing Team), winner of the second stage of the Internazionali d'Italia Series. The Swiss imposed his pace in the central part of the race, crossing the finish line alone. On the podium with him Filippo Fontana (CS Carabinieri Cicli Olympia), second, and Tobias Steinhart (Team Dowe Simplon), third.

The race went well. In the first laps I had some difficulty with the mud, which stuck to the gearbox and wheels, but when it started to rain the conditions improved and I was able to increase the pace. I'm satisfied with this victory, it's always nice to win! I know I worked well during the winter and this result gives me great confidence for the next races. – Andri Frischknecht
Open category
Filippo Fontana (CS Carabinieri Cicli Olympia) took the lead of the group from the first lap. An excellent start, however, was ruined by a puncture in the third lap that allowed Frischknecht to take the lead. From that moment on, the Swiss increased his advantage with each lap, finishing with over three minutes on Fontana and more than five on Steinhart. With the second place, the Italian consolidates his leadership in the general classification.
I had a good start in the first two laps, then I had some mechanical problems. After the puncture, my feelings were no longer optimal and I preferred to manage the race to defend the second position. Days like this can happen, but the important thing was to accumulate points to keep the leader's jersey. Mission accomplished – Philip Fontana
Category U23
Leading race among the Under 23s for Tommaso Ferri (BCL Team) who took the lead from the first lap, followed by the two athletes of Team Sogno Veneto, Marco Betteo and Martino Zavan. Thanks to today's victory, Ferri conquers the leader's jersey of the general classification.

I managed to find the right rhythm right away and I made the right choice regarding the tires to mount. I felt good, it's a shame about the puncture on the last lap, which made me lose the overall podium among the Open. Despite this, I managed to resist and take home the victory among the U23. For the first time this season I had great feelings and I'm really happy with this result. – Thomas Ferri
