The juniors raced, unlike the Elite races, in the sun and enjoyed dry, dusty conditions.
The new world champion Erice Van Leuven (Commencal Les Orres) confirmed the championship stripes earned in Scotland by winning in the women's race with a clear advantage of 5,3 seconds from the Colombian Valentina Roa Sanchez (Transition Factory Racing). The French Lisa Bouladou is third and keeps the leader's jersey.
Among the junior men, the American Ryan Pinkerton (GT Continental Factory Racing) won with a second over the Italian Christian Hauser (Union – Forged by Steel City Media). Bodhi Kuhn (Trek Factory Racing Gravity) finished fifth but retains the lead in the overall standings.
