Amaury Pierron qualifies with a broken vertebra and launches accusations

Chilling fitting of Pierron, who qualified to Lenzerheide with a broken C5 vertebra during free practice. She really risked a lot. And he throws accusations about security.

The boy is wearing a cervical collar and appears tired, probably in hospital after an accident.

Hey guys, how long. But such a shitty start to the season is hard to put into words. A huge disappointment. Honestly, it wasn't a serious crash, but I had the misfortune to break my C5 vertebra. Bad luck landing headfirst into a stump and rock right next to the runway. What should it be safe? – Amaury Pierron

Amaury Pierron crashes Lenzerheide

Our sport is growing it seems. More money (I don't know for whom), more TV, more racing and faster tracks.
But no more security. Nor is a doctor who works for the organization, which means that no one is able to forbid a biker from racing. Because pain won't stop a biker. Nothing will stop a biker except a doctor.

VIDEO FALL AMAURY PIERRON

I was lucky that my unstable fracture held up to qualify, and that I didn't feel able to race on Sunday. So we went to the hospital for more information and found this broken vertebra which was quite a shock.

The crash was my fault, but could it have been avoided with a clean zone B perhaps? We'll never know… Anyway the result is what it is, and I'm demotivated to the max in not racing and defending my title. I am so sorry to everyone involved in my dream hunt. I promise you that I will be back on the bike as soon as possible. It's just another cloud in my life, but it will pass and I'll be back – Amaury Pierron

ppgad@pucrs.br I am passionate about everything that has 2 wheels: in my youth I practiced competitive cycling on the road and on the track with good results. At the age of 18 I moved to cross country competing at national/international level as U23. Once I passed Elite, I made the choice to take things easier from the training point of view, and that's how my love for gravity disciplines was born, training as an FCI MTB instructor and guide. Now I have made my passion my profession by managing 3 MTB centers on the island of Elba (Elba MTB), creating the FANTAmtb and telling in an ironic but professional way, everything that revolves around MTB thanks to 365mountainbike and 365TV (YouTube 'PULITI dentro BIKER fuori').
