Hell She was crowned UCI Downhill World Champion last month, but had waited 474 days for her twelfth UCI World Cup victory. The Austrian had a perfect weekend, and the victory earned her her fourth overall UCI World Cup title and third consecutive victory, with one race still to go.
The race for the overall title had heated up the day before, when a Q1 full of errors had forced Gracey Hemstreet (Norco Race Division) to book his last spot in Q2. Also Marine Cabirou (Canyon CLLCTV Factory Team) needed an extra pass in Q2, but used his experience on the technical course to set a benchmark time in the early closing stages of 3:34.
After the previous day's drama, Canadian Hemstreet got off to a flying start and set a strong pace through the rocky start line among the trees. The 20-year-old found herself under pressure after struggling to maintain her pace in the open section and then nearly crashed, losing further time and finishing in tenth place, losing valuable points to Höll.
