There are places that become bike destinations overnight, and others that grow step by step, season after season, building credibility over time, recognized by riders, teams, and organizers. Val di Fassa undoubtedly belongs to the latter category.
We've witnessed the evolution of this resort up close since its early days in the mountain biking world, and it's only fitting to see it become one of the most popular and fastest-growing biking destinations internationally. This is further confirmed by the numbers and interest surrounding the UCI Enduro World Cup Val di Fassa – Trentino 2026, scheduled for June 26-28.
With ten days to go, registration is now close to closing due to capacity being reached. Over 500 athletes will be at the start, with approximately 250 riders competing in the UCI World Cup and over 250 participants in the Shimano Enduro Open, confirming the Trentino stage as one of the most sought-after and popular on the entire international calendar.
The Fassa event also represents an important innovation for the 2026 season: it will be the first round of the year to offer the new two-day race format for both World Cup athletes and amateurs registered for the Open.
Four days of riding between paths and great Alpine scenery
The program includes four days in the saddle for all participants. Thursday and Friday will be dedicated to free practice, while Saturday and Sunday will be the races.
The route will be officially unveiled on June 18th, but it's already known that the two days of competition will have very different characteristics. Day 1 will be entirely pedaled, while Day 2 will alternate between pedaled transfers and use of the lifts, making the most of the potential of the Val di Fassa Bike District.
Canazei, the beating heart of the event
While the special stages will take place along the valley's best trails, the event's hub will once again be Canazei, where the Event Village will be located.
Among the most exciting new features of the 2026 edition is the return of the single paddock. Professionals and amateurs will once again share the same team area, reviving one of the most authentic aspects of enduro culture: the closeness between the world's best riders and those who live this sport every weekend.
Strolling through the team tents, you'll get a close-up look at the mechanics working, the bikes being prepared, and all the behind-the-scenes action that makes a World Cup stage special.

Ahead of the event, Warner Bros. Discovery Sports has launched the new Official WHOOP UCI Mountain Bike World Series App, available for free on Apple and Android devices.
The app will allow users to consult results, maps, starting times, results, and all the information needed to follow the event, becoming a useful tool for both spectators and competitors.
Expo area, brand and food village
The Event Village will also host an expo area with partner activities and a relaxation area for the public.
Among the brands present are DHaRCO, the new destination partner of the Val di Fassa Bike District, and Monster Energy, one of the main sponsors of the WHOOP UCI Mountain Bike World Series.
There's also space for Fassa Coop, which celebrates 130 years of activity in 2026 and will support the organization by providing packed lunches for staff and volunteers, as well as promoting initiatives dedicated to environmental sustainability.
Alongside them will be numerous historic local partners such as Acqua Dolomia, Felicetti, Loacker, and Carpano.
As per tradition, the food and beverage area will be present, always one of the event's most popular gathering spots. The Forst Beer Garden is back, along with Nonsolofumo sandwiches, while new additions for the 2026 edition will include Carpano Speck and Squitieri, with its mobile laboratory dedicated to confectionery specialties.
Growth built over time
Beyond the competitive aspect, the World Cup represents, above all, a snapshot of a journey that began years ago and continues to yield tangible results. The growth of the Val di Fassa Bike District is not the result of a single event, but of a project developed through continuity, investment, and strong collaboration between the region, tourism operators, and the local community.
From June 26th to 28th, the valley will once again be the meeting point of the great world enduro family, but the real success lies elsewhere: seeing a destination we've watched grow from its earliest days transform into one of the absolute benchmarks of international mountain biking.
