Marco Aurelio Fontana, a well-known figure in the world of MTB, was also there to test the route. This is his opinion on what the athletes will have to face tomorrow: “The route is along the lines of that of last year, with the great advantage that in this edition it has been widened. It was honestly the only weak point of the previous one because otherwise it was already very beautiful, very challenging and very technical.

It is the "most Swiss" route in Italy, and this is obviously a compliment. Now that it has been broadened, the athletes' perspective becomes broader, consequently higher speeds will easily be recorded and there will be more overtaking possibilities, especially benefiting those who start at a disadvantage during the race day."

A route designed to be even more spectacular than that of previous editions, where riders will be able to best enhance their characteristics, also taking advantage of the weather which is expected to be benign over the weekend.

Finally, great anticipation for the challenge between the Elites, where the Santa Cruz-FSA team will field Nadir Colledani and Luca Braidot who will have to contend with Daniele Braidot and Filippo Fontana for the Carabinieri Cicli Olympia team.

OPEN WOMEN
In the women's field, there is great anticipation for Chiara Teocchi (fresh from two victories in the last races) and the Dutch Anne Tauber of the Orbea Factory Team who will have to deal with the Italian XCO champion Martina Berta of the Santa Cruz FSA team.
But Sophie Pedersen will certainly be one to keep an eye on along with the entire Wilier-Vittoria Mtb Factory Team.
