Christopher Blevins led the Specialized Factory Racing hat-trick. Blevins now leads both the UCI elite men's overall standings Cross-country Short Track (XCC) and UCI XCO World Cup, after taking his first XCC double, as well as a win and a second place in XCO, on a fast and challenging course in Brazil.
After taking the win a week ago at the same circuit, Specialized Factory Racing once again dominated the men's podium. A 10-man lead group reached the final lap together and the red jerseys only separated on the final climb, with Blevins fastest in the sprint ahead of teammates Martin Vidaurre in second and Adrien Boichis in third.

Worthy of note was the excellent race by Swiss Fabio Puntener, who attacked in the refueling area at the start of the penultimate lap. Vidaurre responded by attacking at the top of the climb, only to be chased down by his teammates Blevins and Boichis. It was Puntener who had a slight gap at the start of the final lap, after attacking in the refueling area for the second time.
However, the privateer was caught and Specialized Factory Racing led the top four at the start of the final climb, led by Blevins and Boichis. The overall leader, Koretzky, was the first to give up on the climb, proving he was not having the best day.
