The Metallurgica Veneta MTB Professional Team project is a constantly growing construction site, a lot of work in the pre-season for a largely renewed team that announces its second purchase for 2024: Massimo Rosa.
The Marradi team continues to aspire to the highest goals and among the riders who will defend the colors of the Tuscan team, the 28-year-old from Corneliano d'Alba is the one most looking for the continuity that was missing in 2022.
Physical problems now resolved, Massimo Rosa is ready to work and evolve throughout the new season, for the Piedmontese rider there is a step to take compared to last year which means being a protagonist on every occasion and fighting for podiums and victories.

“I am very happy with the choice I made, a young team in which there is an excellent friendship relationship rather than a work one. We were teammates with Martino years ago when we were Under 23 on the road and we had a great time. I already feel like I'm in a family, at ease and this certainly helps, Martino knows what an athlete needs and knowing me well, he knows my needs, he knows my good sides and my weaknesses, I'm sure he can put me in the best condition to find consistency in performance, something I missed a lot in 2023.
It's been a difficult year, getting on the bike with many doubts and without the awareness of being able to express myself at my best, the winter is going well because it seems to have solved the physical problems that affected me and now I feel almost 100%.
I'm starting to train well and I have really good expectations for next year, I want to do well for myself, for the team that is giving me this opportunity and the fundamental serenity to perform. I am very excited and more than happy, I am convinced that we can have fun and do well, I hope that all this can be transformed into excellent results"

Massimo Rosa, born in 1995, is in a certain way in the third phase of his career. He started competing in mountain bikes as a boy, winning the title of Regional Champion as a Rookie and, as a Student, in 2011, the bronze medal at the Italian Cross Country Championship. A very promising athlete in the youth categories, after two years as a Junior in which he also competed with the blue jersey at the World Cross Country Championship in Saafeden, he followed the path of his older brother, Diego, moving to road racing in the Under 23s.

As an amateur he raced in the Pala Fenice Team in the 2014 and 2015 seasons and then competed among the professionals until 2019, racing in Austria, France, Spain, Czech Republic, Albania, Turkey, China, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Langkawi, Korea and Gabon. but a few times in Italy, where he still achieved some podiums and two important second places in a stage of the Giro d'Italia Under23 2017 and at the Giro della Valle d'Aosta.
During his stay in the ranks of Hoppla Petroli Firenze he met Martino Tronconi and, like his new team manager, he left the road to return to competing in mountain biking, taking ninth place in the Italian Marathon Championship in 2020.

After a year's break from competitions, he had the opportunity to resume his off-road career and in the two years spent in the Soudal international team he won a race the first year and the bronze medal at the 2022 Italian Marathon Championship with a long series of excellent performances in important races.
In 2023 he achieved good results, with particular attention to the great start of the season with four victories, three of them in Spain and honored the blue jersey for the second consecutive year at the European Championships Maratahon.

2023 was also a rather complicated year for Rosa who had the misfortune of being hit by an injury which limited him in the events of the second half of the season, but now he is ready to relaunch his career in Metallurgica Veneta MTB Professional Team and to recover your level after difficult months. A 2024 that therefore starts with renewed enthusiasm for Massimo Rosa, ready to give his best to be able to express himself at his level, return to winning and demonstrate all his talent.
