We are talking about an athlete capable of winning the road and MTB world championships as a 1st year Junior: and therefore many professional teams have noticed him. In 2024 he will continue to compete with the Tscherning Cycling Academy team with which he has already competed on the road this year: with the difference that in MTB he will use Trek bikes.
For me Lidl-Trek was the best combination. My most important criterion when choosing my next team was finding the one that could best help me grow as a cyclist. I could really feel right from the start how enthusiastic and passionate the people working on the team were, whilst focusing on not rushing the process or putting too much pressure on my shoulders. Given my multidisciplinary approach, it was also important for me to find a team that not only had the best road setup, but also MTB and cyclocross, and I really feel that Lidl-Trek does just that. In the coming years my plan is to continue mixing the different disciplines, but focusing above all on the road. – Albert Philipsen
