Jordan Sarrou returned to the top step of the podium after more than a year, winning the French Cup in Pernes-les-Fontaines. The Frenchman, who hadn't won a UCI race since April 27, 2015, in Guéret, thus marked a significant return after a season hampered by physical problems.
His last victory came in the Coupe de France, before his season took a turn for the worse shortly thereafter. During a training session on the Nove Mesto circuit, Sarrou fractured his collarbone, an injury that completely ruined his season. Although he managed to return to racing within a few weeks, he never regained his peak form and remained far from his usual results in the remaining races of 2025.
The BMC Factory Racing team rider won with a time of 1:26:36, ahead of Mathis Guay and Joshua Dubau, who completed an all-French podium.
