Jacopo Billi is the first of three new purchases with which Metallurgica Veneta MTB Professional Team reaffirms its commitment to reaching new levels of success.

The 29-year-old, from Turin from Rocca Canavese, considers 2024 as a new challenge in his career, a challenge in which he will try to be at the best level to represent Metallurgica Veneta MTB Pro Team in the best possible way and to be able to achieve not only personal goals, but also the collective objectives of a team with which he easily reached a two-year agreement.
I am thrilled to join this team which has already shown great potential in just one year of activity. I find the team's project ambitious and won me over from the first contacts. I thank Martino Tronconi and his staff for their trust, I am happy to find him again as sporting director after several years spent as opponents. This will be a new adventure for me in which I can grow together with the team and be able to compete at the highest levels with the best materials available. Jacopo Billi is a mature and motivated athlete and will be an important element for Metallurgica Veneta MTB Pro Team. Jacopo is a runner who can stand out, not only at national level, but also internationally, becoming a fundamental piece for the team in the new season focused on World Cup marathon races and some stage races.
Billi is very active and prepared regarding the communicative aspect of his profession, an aspect that leads him to be one of the most followed professional mountain bike riders on Youtube.
Jacopo Billi arrives with good results and a long journey behind him, after his debut in the youth categories, Jacopo has achieved good results in the Junior category, with the opportunity in 2011 to participate in some World Cup trials and in his first races point to point. Having concluded his second year in the Under 23 category, in 2015, Billi abandoned mountain biking in favor of the road, picking up some good results in the Delio Gallina-Colosio–Eurofeed and General Store-Bottoli-Zardini teams.
Returning to mountain biking, he won several marathon and point to point races, results that ensured him his first call-up to the national team at the 2019 World Marathon Championships in Switzerland. Billi has participated in three World Marathon Championships (2019, 2020, 2021) and two European Championships in 2021 and 2022.
More recently, in 2023, he won the 100 Km dei Forti and obtained two podiums at the Marathon Bike della Brianza and the Dario Acquaroli, totaling 16 Top 10s in the season balance. Billi also distinguished himself in international category races, among the highlights of the season we remember the fourth place in Spain in the first stage of the VolCAT Igualada, the fifth place at the Costa degli Etruschi Epic, the ninth at the Bike Marathon Garda Trentino, the seventh place at the Italian Marathon Championship and the tenth at the Cross Country Championship and again in 2023, the excellent tenth place in the Swiss Epic.
Metallurgica Veneta MTB Professional Team therefore welcomes Jacopo Billi. The team technically supported by Cannondale had not yet formalized any new signings, but renewals and, with the announcement of the first new purchase, they add an experienced rider who brings new solidity to the group.
Jacopo Billi has signed a two-year agreement, with this first signing the group is entering full form and announces two more arrivals for the new staff which will be made official in the next few days.
