After missing the Crans-Montana round, Holmgren enjoyed a hand-to-hand battle with Olivia Onesti (Trinx Factory Team) for the second time in three weeks. The Canadian again prevailed by 25 seconds over the Frenchwoman.

She was especially keen to pay tribute to her team: “I'm so happy to have Trek's support for the last three World Cups,” she said. “Without them I don't think I would be able to do it.”
The next appointment is Paris 2024 where “I'm really happy to be able to go with my brother. This was a good race to build my confidence. From today I will train hard and have fun."
Kira Böhm (Cube Factory Racing), overall leader of the XCO U23, finished third, 81 seconds behind.
Bjorn Riley (Trek Future Racing) will have to wait until Los Angeles 2028 to make his Olympic debut, but the future is certainly bright for the young American, who is going from strength to strength as he enters the final stage of this season.
After competing with Finn Treudler (Cube Factory Racing) in Friday’s UCI XCC U23 World Cup, Riley’s closest challenger in XCO was Luca Martin (Orbea Factory Team). Martin finished more than a minute behind, with Treudler 38 seconds back in third.
Riley's success this weekend must be partly attributed to his driving with total freedom:
“At the start of the race I knew I was the favorite,” he said, “especially because [U.S. teammate] Riley [Amos] was gone, but I decided to run. Coming home with the victory is special.
He also said he was a big fan of Les Gets: “This is one of my favorite courses on the World Cup circuit, I have always had a good result here. The climbs are perfect for what I do and the descents are so much fun.”
